So it's official - ships can run down yachts with impunity.

Regardless of whether the yacht seen by Hubble was in fact the Ouzo or not, he did not check the welfare of the crew following such a close quarters situation. The only conclusion would seem to be that this is acceptable behaviour according to our laws.

At the very least the crew of the yacht would have been extremely rattled by the incident and very possibly in need of assistance. Hence I believe that if it was not the Ouzo, it would have been reported into the coast guard by the yacht crew.
