Yeah, he fails to realize that while distribution is certainly cheaper and easier, production (costs) and demand are also part of the equation.

As it happens, this article made me giggle, as I thought biathlon was a bad example. Good in the US perhaps, but I've recently watched almost all of the biathlon events Live on British Eurosport. Great TV coverage of a minority sport.

They don't cover much sailing though :-)
