Junior Sailing Director - Brant Beach YC, NJ Log-In to Post/Reply

We are excited to announce that the Brant Beach Yacht Club (BBYC) will be hiring a Junior Sailing Program Director. This is a summer position and housing is available.

BBYC is located on beautiful Long Beach Island, New Jersey – Exit 63 on the Garden State Parkway. A vacation destination that has a great family orientation, as well as a great spot for the younger generations. Plenty of attractions, some of the best beaches in the world, and 18 Miles of barrier island that offers great thermal sea breezes for our sailing program. BBYC is also a mecca for Dingy Sailors from around the United States. Each year we run at least one major regatta for any number of the dinghy classes including Laser North Americans, Club 420 North Americans, Opti Team Trials, Sunfish Worlds, Laser Master Nationals, and others. (

The Program Director oversees coordination and administration of all aspects of the BBYC junior sailing program including planning, organizing, staffing, leading and driving its success.
BBYC has classes available for kids ages 7-18 years old with both learn to sail and race programs. Our desire is to improve our sailing program to address both the competitive sailor and those who just enjoy sailing. We currently have OPTI’s, Lasers and Sunfish and want to rebuild our 420 program.. The Sailing Program has about 70 sailors today and a growing pipeline of young new members coming up. Our desire is to go from good to great under the strong leadership of our new Junior Sailing Director.

The Program Director will be responsible for the overall program management of all BBYC programs and will report to the Junior Programs Trustee.

We are not looking at someone who wants to spend only a year or two with us. We would value someone who wants to build a vision of success with us, and see it through for the long term.

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Bonus incentives will be presented to candidates.
