Position Title: Marine Mechanic and Electrical Technician

Department: Mechanical

Position Type: Full Time/Permanent (M-F, 7:30am-4:00pm) Start Date: Immediately

Company Description: Bennett Brothers Yachts (BBY), established in 1986, is a full service boatyard strategically located in Wilmington, North Carolina. With 25 on staff, BBY works on all power and sail and can haul boats up to 90 ft. with their 70 ton Marine Travel Lift.

Position Description: Knowledge of all shipboard systems, ability to diagnose, repair, install diesel and gas engines and generators, AC and DC electrical systems, propulsion systems, steering systems, stabilizer systems, hydraulic systems, accessory vessel mechanical systems, etc. Ability to troubleshoot and provide creative solutions for difficult problems.

Qualifications: Applicants should have 5-10 years of experience in the maritime trades industry. Individual must have extensive hands on experience. Must be able to work as a member of the mechanical department team to share his/her knowledge and enthusiasm to maximize efficiency and maintain high level of excellence. References required.
