Senior instructors will lead their own class and work with the Program Director to implement the course curriculum as designed. Instructors are responsible for developing the daily lesson plans for their respective classes.
Senior Instructors will work with the Director of Training, in mentoring the junior staff; making sure they act appropriately on the water, secure all boats (both safety and sail), act as proper role models and leave the facility clean each day as well as encouraging the highest levels of participation, sportsmanship and behavior. Conduct activities, which will promote enthusiasm to learning in a safe, fun environment.
Senior Instructors must be certified at a minimum as a US SAILING Instructor (Level I Small Boat Sailing Instructor) although Level 2 Racing Coach certification is preferred.
Seniors Instructors should have prior experience in coaching and teaching sailing to youth sailors.
Community Boating Center is celebrating 20 years of youth development. We are not just a sailing school as we fly ROVs with cameras, build boats and sail autonomous boats. You will be done early enough to enjoy sailing in Buzzards Bay, Narragansett Bay, or Cape Cod any evening.
Please contact the Program Director to apply.
