The North Shore Yacht Club, founded in 1871, located on Manhasset Bay, Long Island is seeking a junior sailing instructor who wishes to pass along their love of sailing. Instructor should be enthusiastic about working with young sailors of all experience levels. The position is for a full time, Monday-Friday, salaried 8 week season beginning June 29th with one weekend local regatta possible.

Candidates should be experienced with Optimists and eager to motivate young sailors while providing a fun and safe environment to learn fundamentals and racing skills. The ability to recognize the need for and carry out minor maintenance and equipment repair is a plus.
Additional compensation opportunities are available for adult lessons onboard a Colgate 26 and certification for adult boat sharing program beginning mid-May during days prior to the Junior Sailing Program and evenings and weekends by appointment. Pay will be at hourly rate or overtime if applicable.
Applicants must have at minimum US Sailing Small Boat Level 1 Sailing Instructor, CPR & First Aid Certification, and US Powerboating Safe Powerboat Handling Certification.
