How long has your boat been in the family? Log-In to Post/Reply

In 2006, I am celebrating the 100th birthday of my 14'-3" clinker built dinghy 'Pansy'. She is a Dublin Bay Waterwag, # 3. She has won the National Championship on innumerable occasions, including 2004. She has been raced every year except 1914-1918 (due to some trouble being encountered with the neighbors), and 1921 (due to the ill health of the then owner), and 1963 when she was getting a new centreboard case fitted.

Our family started sailing in her in 1926, and plans are in place for the fourth generation of our family to take a sail in her in 2006. Is this a record?

I would be interested to hear from owners/ families with a similar record.
