Navionics now accepts multiple formats of sonar logs as contributions to SonarCharts™. This includes Humminbird (DAT and GPX on all models, ION and Onix compatible within summer), Lowrance (GPX), Raymarine (SDF, GPX, NMEA), Simrad (GPX), and Garmin (ADM).”

Re: [shamusunset] ipads for navigating [In reply to] Log-In to Post/Reply

so this this last weekend i was not racing sailboats and went to Catalina in relaxing mode. I was messing around with my iPhone5c with the app loaded in it and it was working as well as the iPad. It was fun to be in lazy mode and get tp know some of the features. I think it is a great program for cruisers to use. you can plan trips then go to the boat and go. If you are going into shallow water you can use the sonar charts to help with the bottom and knowing where shallows are.
