Mackinac Island Yacht Club will be hosting two races immediately after the Bayview-Mackinac Race...

July 18, 2012: Round The Island Race - Bayview Mac Race Week
Mackinac Island Yacht Club will be hosting the Fifth Annual Round the Island Race. The first start signal will be at 1:00 PM EDT. This race will be a fun event open to all sailboats. Boats may sail either all out or jib and main. Afterward, the awards ceremony will be held at Windermere Point with food, drinks and fun, camaraderie, and stories. Awards will include brag flags and trophies for class winners. The Madigan Trophy will be presented to the first overall monohull.

The race is sponsored and supported by Mackinac Island businesses and merchants. The entry fee of $60 will cover race registration, the family and crew party on Windermere Point, and free dockage on Wednesday night, courtesy of Arnold Transit. July 19-21, 2012: Mackinac Island to Manitoulin Island International Yacht Race
The 9th Annual MacMan Race starts off Mackinac Island on Thursday, July 19th. The first leg of the MacMan Challenge takes racers to Gore Bay. There is an overnight layover in Gore Bay, with dinner and awards for the first leg. The final leg of the race to Little Current will take place on July 21. Both communities provide a plenty of warm hospitality, parties and a fun racing venue.

The post-race event and awards take place on Saturday, July 21, hosted by Little Current Yacht Club. From here, you can leisurely cruise back through the picturesque North Channel of Canada to your home port. To learn more, go to http://www.lcyc.ca
