FOR: Women sailors of all abilities
WHAT: A day-long conference for women designed to introduce them to and/or enhance their skills in recreational sailing through seminars on water and on land. Topics include, but are not limited to, introduction to sailing, sail trim, introduction to spinnakers, knots, hands-on charting, crew overboard, handling the motorboat, diesel engine troubleshooting, suddenly single-handed, advanced anchoring, night sailing, rules of the road. A continental breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a guest speaker complete the day. More than 125 women are expected.
BY: The National Women’s Sailing Association at the host club, the Corinthian Yacht Club. BoatU.S. is the primary sponsor.

WHY: The Women’s Sailing Conference furthers the National Women’s Sailing Association’s goal of enriching the lives of women and girls through education and access to the sport of sailing. A multi-dimensional sport, sailing provides opportunities to develop skills and confidence in everything from boat handling and safety to navigation and teamwork.
FEE: $120 NWSA members / $155 non-NWSA members
$15 additional after May 15, 2012
