Fundraiser for Boston Public & Courageous Sailing Log-In to Post/Reply

Dave DiLorenzo, Courageous Sailing

There are more high school sailing teams around Boston than anywhere
else in the country, but until now this hasn't included most of Boston
Public's 40+ high schools (the exam school, Boston Latin, has been the
one exception). Finally, this is going to change. Courageous Sailing
and Boston Public have teamed up to launch Boston Public's own high
school sailing team. It will be a composite team, allowing kids from
any of Boston Public's high schools to participate, and will sail and
compete within the Mass Bay League.

If you live near Boston, please join us Thursday March 10 at the
Boston Sail Loft for a special "Cocktails for Courageous" fundraiser
to help get this team off the ground. All proceeds will go directly
to supporting the BPS team, helping Courageous provide coaching, gear,
and equipment. All contributions to the team are tax deductible.

Zim Sailing ( is sponsoring this event and helping
Courageous stretch every gear-buying dollar as far as possible. Zim
will be on hand at the event with lots of great gear. Pick something
up for yourself, or to give to the team. Either way Zim will donate
20% of all purchases back to the team. All contributions directly to
the team are tax deductible. (Gear purchased at the event for any
college or high school sailor will also receive a 20% discount from
Zim. Note the event is 21+ plus.)

In addition to supporting a great cause, the event is also a great
chance for Boston-area sailors to catch up with old friends, make new
ones and help Courageous raise much-needed funds for a great cause!

Tickets are just $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Of course,
larger contributions in any amount are fine too! Click here for more
info and to purchase tickets.
