PATAGONIA ON THAMES STREET

PARTNERS WITH SAVE THE BAY

Patagonia On Thames Street has selected Save the Bay as their local Environmental Group partner and will host their Grand Opening on Friday, July 25, 2008 from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, donating 10% of their sales on that day to Save The Bay. Patagonia on Thames is located at 468 Thames Street in Newport, RI.

World renowned for producing all of their products in an environmental friendly process, Patagonia offers a wide supply of clothing, sports and travel gear for men, women and children. Their partnership with Save The Bay is an alliance of two leaders committed to protecting the environment.

Patagonia On Thames Street is independently owned and operated by Team One Newport. Team One Newport, the specialty sailing clothier, features the Patagonia active wear and sportswear line and has sold the Patagonia line for 21 years. Founder and owner of Team One Newport said, “We are very proud to be working with Patagonia with our Patagonia On Thames Street store and Save the Bay is a natural for all of us to support. We look forward to many years of working together to insure that Narragansett Bay is preserved and pollution free.”

Save The Bay is committed to fostering a personal connection between people and Narragansett Bay and is an active force in southern New England, working to protect, restore and explore Narragansett Bay and its watershed.
About Save The Bay

Founded in 1970, Save The Bay is a non-profit organization working to protect, restore and explore Narragansett Bay and its watershed. Save The Bay believes the Bay’s future depends on tomorrow’s leaders understanding how important the Bay is to our economy, environment and quality of life. The organization offers education programs to schools, community groups and the general public; protects Narragansett Bay by advocating for Bay-friendly legislation, reviewing permits and raising public awareness; and restores the Bay to full health through its extensive habitat restoration program.
