NEW YORK, NY—August 23, 2011—Inc. magazine today ranked Sea Tow Services International Inc. No. 4802 on its fifth annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Online retailer ideeli tops this year’s list. Sea Tow, the nation’s leading marine assistance provider, joins Spirit Airlines, television maker Vizio, Honest Tea, Dunkin Donuts and Metrokane, makers of the Rabbit corkscrew, among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list.
Sea Tow posted a 9 percent growth in sales over the three-year period, 2007 to 2010, reflected by the 2011 Inc. 500/5000. This is the second appearance for the Long Island-based company on the magazine’s prestigious list. Sea Tow ranked No. 4489 on the 2007 Inc. 5000, with 43.8 percent sales growth over the prior three years.
