New e33 Squared Edition to Debut at Newport Boatshow
e Sailing Yachts Continues to Innovate on their e33 Performance Daysailer
September 9, 2011 – e Sailing Yachts will debut the new e33 squared edition daysailer at the Newport Boatshow September 15 – 18. This next generation e33 is the culmination of five years of innovations working with e33 owners, designer Persak & Wurmfeld and America’s Cup winning sail maker Robbie Doyle.
Builder Drew Lyman, sailmaker Robbie Doyle and e33 designer Jeremy Wurmfeld will discuss the next generation e33 at a “Breakfast with the Builder” event Saturday, September 17 at 9:00 AM the Lyman-Morse booth in NYC Tent G 42-43.
From the keel design, to sail handling advancements, to the build experience at Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding, the e33 has truly evolved. Robbie Doyle explains just one example: “We’ve introduced a game-changing batten system on the e33’s unique square top mainsail that automatically optimizes sail shape at all wind speeds. This delivers performance you have to see to believe in both light and heavy air.”
The e33’s unique combination of performance, ease of handling and comfort has remained unchanged since its introduction in 2006. Since then, e Sailing Yachts has built on this idea again and again by introducing new features that impact the both the boat’s performance and how easy it is to sail.
