A new weapon in the hands of tacticians helped one team win Acura Key West Race Week last month. Robert Hibdon's “Temptress” placed first in six of eight PHRF Division 3 races using ClearPoint Weather. This comprehensive and easy to use online weather system is unique in predicting the wind to within 1 nautical mile... and is rapidly emerging as the forecasting tool of choice for racers worldwide. The predictive weather service will be available to racers at upcoming National Offshore One Design (NOOD) regattas throughout 2008. The crew of “Temptress”, a South Carolina based SR-33 dominated their Division. Henry McCray, tactician and 7-time Fireball North American and National Champion gave a report after the race: “On Friday we used ClearPoint and determined that the wind would be oscillating back and forth, with stronger gusts coming from the left, which is exactly what happened. We figured that everybody would be favoring the left side of the course. We went out also looking for the shifts from the right that ClearPoint was showing, so caught both the left and the right shifts. Every time we anticipated the right shift, we totally blew past everybody.” ClearPoint will also be on display with custom forecasts at the nine Sperry-Topsider 2008 NOOD regattas if you are planning to be there. They are taking place throughout the year across the United States: - St. Petersburg, FL, February 15-17, 2008, St. Petersburg Yacht Club
- San Diego, CA, March 14-16, 2008, San Diego Yacht Club
- Annapolis, MD, April 25-27, 2008, Annapolis Yacht Club
- Seattle, WA May 16-18, 2008, Corinthian Yacht Club, Seattle Yacht Club
- Detroit, MI May 30, 2008 - June 1, 2008, Bayview Yacht Club
- Chicago, IL, June 13-15, 2008, Chicago Yacht Club
- Marblehead (Boston), MA, July 24-27, 2008, Corinthian Yacht Club
- Larchmont, (Westchester County) NY, September 6-7, 2008, Larchmont Yacht Club
- Houston, TX, September 19-21, 2008, Lakewood Yacht Club, Seabrook, TX

The Danish Sailing Association also relied on ClearPoint as a core weather source at the 470 World Championships Olympic class races in Melbourne, Australia, and at the World Championships for Tornado and Laser Radials held at Takapuna Beach, New Zealand.
