The first ever Brenta 38 North American Regatta will take place in Sag Harbor, NY on July 19th and 20th. Every Brenta 38 that has been imported to North America will attend. The winds are looking good with a forecast of 10-15+ from the southwest on Saturday and then southerlies 5-10 on Sunday for the Ego Race! What is the Ego Race, you might ask? These boats were designed as short handed daysailors so it is only logical to have a singlehanded race! May the best man win! Peroni and Persecco will be provided by the US importers, Bruce Tait and Associates. Both and Bruce and Chris will be racing on different boats so look for some side betting to be occurring!!!

The first ever Brenta 38 North American Regatta was held in Sag Harbor, NY this past weekend. A good southwesterly arrived for the fully crewed racing on Saturday with 12-18 knots and higher gusts. Fred Stelle and Adrian Keller's WitchLi dominated the racing with three bullets while Billy Macklowe's Abraxas came in second and Charlie Lamberta's Cinderella came in a close third. Sunday's single handed race was great fun with Chris Dowling driving WitchLi to another first and Bruce Tait aboard Abraxas held off Charlie Lamberta's Cinderella for another day. Empty Prosecco and Peroni bottles were rolling in the bilges at the end of the event!
