REGISTRATION OPENS FOR ORANGE BOWL REGATTAS
Registration is now open for the Orange Bowl Regattas on Biscayne Bay in Miami, Sunday, December 27 – Wednesday, December 30, 2009. Coral Reef Yacht Club will again host the Orange Bowl International Youth Regatta for competitors up through age 18 in Lasers, Laser Radials, Laser 4.7’s, Club 420’s and RWBG Opti’s. This is one of the largest and best-known youth regattas in the World!

At the same time, nearby Coconut Grove Sailing Club will host its 47th Annual Open Orange Bowl Regatta. This is for Lightnings and age 19 and over Laser sailors in Lasers, Laser Masters and Laser Radials. In particular, parents of junior sailors racing in the CRYC International Youth Regatta are invited to bring their own Laser(s) or the family Lightning and race in the CGSC Open OB Regatta at the same time. The two regattas are well coordinated, allowing parents to see their juniors off in the morning and still enjoy a day’s racing on their own.

Notices of Race, Entry Forms and additional information are available in the Scuttlebutt Event Calendar, the Coral Reef YC website (www.coralreefyachtclub.org), the Coconut Grove Sailing Club website (www.cgsc.org), websites of invited classes, and other sailing-oriented websites.
