Hello, my name is Rob, I'm a recent graduate and I currently work for Accenture in Austin. In my spare time I work on my own non-profit enterprise, Vagabond-Sailing.com.

I wanted to make you guys aware of Vagabond Sailing in hopes that you might like to participate in a sailing voyage with us this summer, or tell your buddies about us so that they may be able to do so. I'd also like to encourage you avid forum users to help get the forum going over on the VS website.

Vagabond Sailing is the first online community to connect people from all over the world, promoting cross cultural friendships and exchanges through the unique interaction of hands-on, roadtrip-esque sailing adventures (I call them seatrips).

http://www.vagabond-sailing.com

We have sailing groups available for anyone to join from the end of May to October. My co-founder and I will take part in two voyages in July 2010, sailing from Tuscany to Barcelona, and then returning to Tuscany by a different route.

My co-founder and close friend, Marco Grasso, is an Italian who has sailed his whole life and is currently working on his PhD in England. The two of us first met through another online social community called Couchsurfing.org - and this site was a big inspiration for Vagabond Sailing, which is meant to be complementary to a Couchsurfing trek.

Kind regards,

Robert

Let me know if this is not a good way to go about spreading the word on this forum. An alternative idea I had was to engage the more active posters first, but I figured I could at least try this first. I did email the editor of the blog. We'll see how that goes. If anyone has any questions for me put them here and I'll respond asap!
