Santa Barbara, California, USA — December 1, 2009 — Effective today, the International Farr 30 One Design Class will no longer be under the management of Stagg Yachts. Management of the Class is now solely in the hands of the International Class Association and their elected representatives on the World Council, Deneen Demourkas (USA) President, Nicolas Abiven (FRA) Vice President and Dr. Harald Bruening (GER) Treasurer. The World Council has appointed Carole Abbott, long time European Class Secretary to the position of International Class Secretary where she will facilitate the day to day operations of the International Class.
The Farr 30, originally known as the Mumm 30, designed by renowned naval architect Bruce Farr in 1995 has survived the test of time and innovation. Fast, fun to sail in all conditions and not for the faint of heart in big breeze, the Farr 30 is revered by her owners worldwide.
