Leukemia Cup fundraiser Log-In to Post/Reply

Hi Scuttlebutt forum users ....

I am trying to get some donations going for the Leukemia Cup at Carlyle Lake later in the month.
Please visit http://www.thorusa.com/leukemia.htm

I am not a pro fundraiser and ALL money is tax deductable and goes 100% to the Leukemia Society.

Now.... the folks over at SA are somtimes rough and tumble.... but to give them credit they have already donated over 700 dlr to the good cause. Thats pretty awesome.

Here comes your chance - every amount is welcome.

Thanks, Thor

Great idea getting a thread going here. How did you get the awesome banner on the sailingscuttlebutt site? Anyway, there are events happening all over the country. For those of you reading this there is probably an event somewhere near you and they could use your participation (show up) and/or a donation through one of the boats participating. See www.leukemiacup.org for more info. Or just plow all you can into Carlyle Lake even if you live in ... Peoria.

At the event in my hometown, Seattle, our participants and sponsors raised over $125,000 last year. If you happen to be in the Seattle area you can learn more and sign up at www.leukemiacup.org/wa. Individual boats also have fundraising sites, like Thor's. Our local LLS chapter, and I assume others, are working through Active.com to help participants register, set up sites and collect donations. My team's site is at www.active.com/donate/2006regatta/goindy were you can see more about what we're doing this year. The use of Active is particularly handy since the fundraiser doesn't handle the money -- it goes through Active straight to the Society.

Good luck in Carlyle Lake.
