J80 Crew Log-In to Post/Reply
Looking to join a J Boat team in the NJ/NY area. Does anyone know were I could find listings for crew needed???
I am ASA certified with many years of boating experience, the last few years focused only on sailing only...

If you're ok racing on any J/Boat, try contacting the race committee chairperson at Raritan Yacht Club, or Keyport Yacht club, if Raritan Bay is most convenient. They usually know who's looking for crew, and have an interest in building their fleets. There are quite a few different J's racing at Raritan.

If you are looking specifically for a spot on a J/80, try contacting the NY/NJ fleet captains, which can be found at this page: http://www.j80.org/officers.php

A bit more information would be helpful, are you looking to race on weeknights, weekends, GSP series, exactly what location would be convenient, NY/NJ can be a pretty big area? For example the Hamptons or Cape May are a pretty long drive apart. :-)

We don't have J-boats but we have 47 other boats located in Oyster Bay New York. We have people coming up from NJ and also have a J-105 team from CT who will be sailing a Farr 40 for American Spring and are looking for some more quality people. We do not sail on J80's but do sailing J24's.
