How are you watching AC33? Log-In to Post/Reply

How are you watching the (so far non-) event? I have been bouncing around between the americascup.com feed, BMW Oracle website and ESPN360.
I haven't heard any commentary from anyone at all on the americascup.com feed, was hoping to hear Peter Montgomery.

ESPN360 has been unwatchable. While I appreciate the effort Jobson and Smyth arre doing to fill while waiting for wind, the feed is buffering like crazy, while the other feeds have remained smooth.

Comments?

So far as there's anything to watch. The live feed on the americascup.com website is providing light relief with its, ahem, fair and balanced reporting:

"Alinghi are billed to sail with 14 crew, only one has not won the America's Cup before. That is Frenchman Loick Peyron who is expected to share the steering with Ernesto Bertarelli."

I fear that if the wind doesn't come up soon, we'll start hearing about how EB also has x-ray vision and can bend steel bars (or, at least, hire someone who can).

Am in Australia, watching on YouTube:
http://www.youtube.com/americascup
Nice pics of people walking around the dock! There was commentary earlier, and views from out on the course including both boats, but now there are just written updates.
I want to see a start but I don't think I can stay up all night.
Harold will keep them for a week if necessary. Looks like that sort of wind. I was in Auckland for a week in 2003, and never saw a race. Thanks Harold.

Well, I could not get up at 4:00AM to watch the race this morning, and now I can't find the full race anywhere online. ESPN360 is the only place I've found it, but it buffers like crazy for me. (And I'm a Cox customer!!!)

The America's Cup website only has a 5 minute summary, with no commentary. :(

Any help?

Sorry I did not see your post earlier. It was streaming & re-streaming during the Valencia overnight on the BMWO website. That’s been replaced with a streaming press conference now. Maybe they’ll get Race #1 back up?

edit: If you go to americascup.com, The Regatta, Videos
you can select either/both a ~26 min or ~5 minute highlight video.
FF through the propaganda to get to the racing on the ~26 min version and you'll see the pre-start action. I have not looked beyond there, but suspect you'll see the better parts of the race.

I really enjoyed the ESPN 360 coverage with Gary and Randy. I missed the first of race 2 and, though race 1 and even a postponement of race one is in the replay section of their site, race 2 is nowhere to be found. I have sent an email to ESPN 360, perhaps some would join me in requesting it be posted. Another casualty of the squabble, no doubt, but being both a multihull sailor and a raving fan of the Cup; I'm beside myself....

Indeed I've seen that a few times; I was looking for the ESPN 360 commentary by Randy Smyth (AC '88) and Gary Jobson (no explanation required). I caught their commentary just approaching the top mark race 2 but missed their commentary at the start and to that point.... Race 1 and even a postponed race 1 is archived for replay but there is no sign of race 2....

Edit: Race 2 is available on ESPN 360 just not in the same place as Race 1. It is listed under "other sports". If you haven't viewed both the races with Gary Jobson and Randy Smyth's commentary; I highly recommend it.
