FIGAWI RACE '89 Mt. Gay cap Log-In to Post/Reply
I posted here previously about a Mt. Gay cap from the Figawi '89 race that I found on a beach on Martha's Vineyard many, many years ago. I didn't realize then that Sen. Kennedy won the race that year.
Is it true that only the crew from the winning boat receive a cap???? How many would have been given out?
I've considered putting it on ebay but now I feel it is even more special than I thought it was.

Okay - now I read that each winner in their division gets hats so I'll just have to research how many divisions there were/are. Thanks for your help. Crazy See you on ebay!

Well I never got to posting the hat on ebay and now race weekend is coming up. I still wonder if anyone out there lost their hat a long time ago? I might try and post a picture of it here. Cool
