* From Harold G. Simms: I am trying to locate Bill Reed who owned the Dotty G., a friendship sloop, originally owned by Joseph Plumb. It was my father who built that boat. I also helped. It was built by William E. Simms of Simms Yacht Yard, located in Scituate, Mass. I would like to contact Bill to get more info about the friendship as I am writing a book about my dad and all his boats that he built. There were about 80, including pleasure and military boats, built in his yard from 1933 to 1978. Any info you can post here would be greatly appreciated.
