I'd like to be considered for this gig. I'm an experienced one-design sailor in the Baltimore-Annapolis area. I have two books currently in bookstores (see Amazon.com). Please consider me as 'Butt reporter for the Buzzards Bay Regatta in August. As a freelance writer, I've covered numerous regattas worldwide, including the '03 Cup in New Zealand for The Newport Daily News, the '04 UBS Trophy for Newport Life Magazine, the '05 Grey Goose Team Racing event in Newport for Offshore magazine and the '06 Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta. I'm crewing aboard Firefly in this weekend's S-Class regatta in Bristol, crewed a delivery from Boston to Newport (we stopped in Marion at BYC), and have attended countless other races in New England. I split my time between Boston and Newport, so the regatta is nearby and I wouldn't have to charge too much for mileage. Plus I have a master's degree in journalism.
