Bermuda Neck Tie Tradition (What about women?) Log-In to Post/Reply

Bermuda Race tradition has it that a neck tie is given to the 2 most deserving crewmembers. What if those crew members are women?

Well . . . must be that a female has never been elected for this and if there were to be . . . how about a scarf? (a nice silk scarf would be quite nice, and comparative)

Glad I'm not on your boat. When we won our division, the skipper awarded each crewmember a St. David's light tie from Trimingham's, though only the navigator's had the date embroidered on it. I still wear mine.
