Can someone please tell me what the deal is with the new ICOM MA-500 transponder? I am upgrading some electronics for my dad and thought about checking it out to see how it compares to my vesper 850, but for the life of me I cannot figure out if it's for sale or not? Last I heard it was still pending FCC approval, but the other day my brother said a sales guy was talking to him about it like it was for sale but not in stock. I can't seem to great a straight answer, and I'd like to make a selection sooner than later.
