12 meter classics in Newport

Didn't know the guy, but Bob Teidemann certainly had an impact on the sport. I have the pleasure of seeing many of the classically beautiful 12m's on the water in Newport (chartered for day sailing, sometimes racing each other). I also know that a lot of the newer 12's have been restored and there is quite an active racing "fleet" of a few regattas a year for them, who's owners have put more money into their ressurection than they cost to begin with. Great stuff!
