I work for a City. I am looking to begin a community/junior sailing program. I need help in locating a used fleet of optis (6-12) and sunfish (6) for sale. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

There's an outside chance that we might be getting rid of half (6) or all (12) of our fleet of Vanguard Prams, a teaching version of the Opti. These have served us very well and are in good condition, but it may be time to move on to another class of boat. If we don't get rid of these, I'd expect them to last us another 8-10 years!
For a community/junior sailing program these are great boats, because they're much more durable than an opti. The downside is that, since they're not optis, they can't race in opti regattas (except in a very few cases). If they're only used internally, though, they're a slightly simpler, more durable teaching boat than an opti.

Any interest?

Where are you (shipping could be a deal breaker)?

I'm in Southern Maine, so shipping may be a challenge.
As I mentioned, I don't know if we're actually getting rid of anything at this point. Probably won't know until later in the winter. As such, I don't know if it will be 6 boats, 12 boats, or no boats.
