Description: Stamford Yacht Club has a few openings for junior sailing instructors for the Summer of 2009. This is an amazing opportunity to work at one of the premier sailing programs on Long Island Sound under the direction of world champion Laser sailor, Rob Coutts, of the famous sailing family from New Zealand. Rob has designed an outstanding curriculum for our sailing instructors to follow. His broad breadth of knowledge and experience is beneficial not only to our junior sailors but also to the instructors who work with him. Our program encompasses a wide range of sailing abilities, including our "Little Puff" program designed for 5 - 7 year olds, our Learn to Sail Programs and our Laser and Opti Racing programs which focus on year round conditioning, training in "wind" and participation in national and international sailing events. All applicants must be at least US Sailing level 1 certified. Limited housing is available.
