Beach Point Yacht Club in Mamaroneck, NY (ten miles north of NYC) is looking for a Head Instructor. We have a great mid-sized program—sixty sailors—which allows us to put instructors in small groups, generally 4 sailors per instructor. This way, our coaches are able to concentrate on teaching and imbuing their love of sailing, instead of spending all their time trying to keep order. The support here at Beach Point is the best on the sound. The pay is commensurate with any club AND we pay overtime. Our members make sure that we have the best equipment and that all problems are solved quickly. We want the instructors and their sailors out enjoying sailing, not worrying about their boats. Some members also open their homes to provide housing for instructors, as needed. While the quality of our program speaks for itself—we won both the McIntyre Cup as well as JSA Champs in 2008—we put a premium on the love of sailing and instilling that in our young sailors. We need an experienced, mature instructor who can bring the best out of the staff as well as providing support and feedback to that staff. The ideal candidate will be organized, a good communicator, detail-oriented, and a problem solver. If you can show up every day focused and ready, and want to work in an excellent environment, Beach Point Yacht Club is looking for you. Please send your resume to: csclaus@hotmail.com or call Cory at 646-326-3674.
