TRED AVON YACHT CLUB in Oxford, Maryland is seeking to hire a JUNIOR SAILING PROGRAM DIRECTOR to manage our established and highly respected summer junior sailing program. The Director will oversee all coaches, programs, communications, and travel logistics. Director to be on-site June 10, 2019 through August 15, 2019. Limited additional preparation is required and can be accomplished off-site.

The candidate must be a demonstrated leader, highly motivated, organized and an excellent communicator. The Director will manage a staff of approximately 10 coaches, will oversee boat maintenance, and plan curriculum all with safety as the first priority. The program is designed for approximately 100 sailors, 7 to 18 years of age with skills ranging from beginner to Opti, Laser and 420 Racing Teams. The racing teams compete in the Chesapeake Bay area as part of the CBYRA.
Tred Avon Yacht Club is prepared to offer a competitive salary that will reflect the skills, experience and responsibilities of the chosen candidate. Housing will be provided during the summer months.
The successful candidate must have or obtain prior to starting the following experiences and certifications: sailing instructor experience, first aid, CPR, a minimum of US Sailing Level 1, Maryland Safe Boating Certificate or equivalent. All program employees will undergo a background check in accordance with Maryland regulations.
