There is nothing quite like the joy of being a proficient sailor! Our Community Youth Sailing Program (CYSP) instructors experience the joy of sailing each day, and are instrumental in nourishing a love and respect for the lake in all of our sailing campers. Instructors teach students the fundamentals of sailing as well as the importance of the natural environment and the leadership skills inherent to the sport of sailing.
CYSP is an instructional sailing program, running Monday – Friday for youth ages 7-18. CYSP hosts Adult Drop-in sailing sessions weekly June through August.
-Hold a current US Sailing Level 1 Small Boat Instructor certification at a minimum.
-Current Red Cross First Aid, CPR, AED & Lifeguard certification required.
-Must have a passion for watersports, the environment and working with kids.
-Minimum age of 21 with a clean driving record
Ideal start date is June 1, 2018. Staff training occurs June 11-22. Camp runs Monday-Friday, June 25- August 10, 2018. Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m (unless otherwise scheduled for Drop in Sailing).
Compensation - Based on Experience. SLA benefits include use of canoes, kayaks, campsites and store discount.
