Head Sailing Instructor Opportunity 2017 Log-In to Post/Reply

I am a representative of the Block Island Club. We are in the process of putting together our staff for the 2017 summer season but are still in need of someone to fill the Head Sailing Instructor role. I am reaching out to you in the hopes that you could review the attached job description for the role and pass it along to any candidates on your team that you think would be a fit for the role.

About the Block Island Club:
The Block Island Club is a small, non-profit sailing, tennis, and swimming club tucked in the northeast corner of the Great Salt Pond on Block Island, RI. Block Island is thirteen miles off the coast of Rhode Island. The Club has a long tradition of creating a family- like atmosphere where children and adults can enjoy two-week to summer-long memberships full of sporting and social activities.

The staff of the Block Island Club consists of a manager, five sailing instructors, two tennis instructors, one swimming instructors, one arts and crafts instructor, and several and 15-16 year old interns. May staff members return year after year, having developed close relationships with other Club staff, residents of the Island, and members of the Club. The Board of Governors places a high priority on hiring a staff that is not only qualified to instruct at a highly skilled level, but who can serve as role models for the young children and represent the Club well to the members, both new and returning. In addition, the Board values creativity and independence in its staff with regard to the development and implementation of classes and programs.
