Head coach/instructor for the youth sailing program. The sailing program consists of a full day program for youth 8 to 14 years old, and coordinate/train/direct the teen sailing program. The youth day program is roughly 25 participants per session.
ideally the Head Sailing Coach should meet the following requirements:
* Experience sailing/racing dinghy's (Club-420's, FJ's, etc.), One Design (e.g. Soling, J/24, etc.)
* Minimally current US Sailing Level 1, Level 3 Head Instructor preferred
* Enthusiastic about developing/expanding the sailing program
* Able to relate with children, teens and adults
* Able to recruit and manage sailing instructors, providing mentoring and apprenticeship support
* Encourage growth in sailing and participation in sailing events including regattas
* Work closely with the Youth Sailing Program Administrator and Lipton Cup Regatta Committee


Instructors for the various youth sailing programs:
* Day Youth Sailing Program Monday to Thursday.
* Evening Teen Sailing Program one week day evening, and Sunday evening
* Regatta support/coaching
* Instructors must have experience sailing/racing dinghy's e.g. Club-420's, Lasers, Opti's
* Instructors working with Club-420's should have scholastic (team) and Championship (spinnaker) experience.
* Minimally current US Sailing Level 1 Instructor
* Enthusiastic about sailing and racing
* Able to relate with children, teens and adults
* Coach and Encourage participation in sailing events including Lipton Cup, QBRW and Make-A-Wish Regattas
* Work closely with head coach
* Instructors need to be older than program participants, specifically 15+ for Day Program and 18+ for Teen Sailing Program


Instructors for J-Term
npartnership with Westwood HS, there will be a 5 day sailing program that is one o fthe options of the J-Term. The program is scheduled to run June 17, 18,,19,22 and 23 from 8AM to 2PM at the Squantum Yacht Club in Quincy, MA. The dates could change based on schedule changes due to snow days, The students will be grade 9 through 11 with no sailing experience to experienced sailors. The boats used will be Club-420's supplied by SYC with the possibility of using a J/24 and/or O'Day 22. Westwood HS Teachers would be Chaperones and could assist providing on shore teaching support.
The following are the instructor requiremeents:
* Must 18 or more years old
* Current US Sailing Level 1 instructor or better
* Experience sailing and racing Club-420's
* Develop plan of instruction
* Interact well teens
* Be Cori checked by Westwood HS
