Assistant Men's and Women's Sailing Coach Old Dominion University invites applications for the position of Assistant Men's and Women's Sailing Coach, a full time 12 month, faculty-administration position. This salaried position includes a comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities include assisting the Head Coach in administrating, coaching, and advising the varsity sailing program. To include: on-the-water coaching, team travel administration, budget oversight, practice/training organization, regatta management, recruitment of qualified student-athletes, monitoring the academic progress of team members, knowledge of NCAA, ICSA rules, the Racing Rules of Sailing, sailing instruction, fleet management, fund-raising and promotion of the sailing program within the community. Qualifications: Master's degree or bachelor's with equivalent experience to an advanced degree, and collegiate sailing experience or ISAF World Cup racing experience (athlete/coach) is required. Sailing coaching experience preferred, USSA Level 2, or equivalent, preferred; demonstrated advanced sail racing skills; effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills required. Previous fund-raising or marketing experience is advantageous. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
