Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club
Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club, a 300 + member full service yacht club located in mid-coast Maine, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Adult Sailing Director for the 2012 sailing season. The position includes: oversight and management of the various member Adult Sailing and Racing Programs including men’s sailing, ladies sailing, an active race series and special regattas, sailing clinics and related programs; oversight and management of the BHYC Adult Sailing School, a learn-to-sail program open to both club members and non-members; and active participation in Race Management assisting the Race Committee and club volunteers. Program participants sail in both club owned J/22s and privately owned boats.
Strong certifications and qualifications are desired. Responsibilities include administrating, coaching and advising adult sailors and racers with different levels of experience, budget oversight, practice/training activities, regatta management, knowledge and instruction of Racing Rules through effective organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
